Steven Cohn, Esq.
Steven Cohn founded his firm in 1980 and, initially, his practice was focused on personal injury litigation. He later expanded his practice to include commercial litigation and he regularly appears before the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court. He has represented numerous clients in the Southern and Eastern Districts of the New York Federal Court. Steve has litigated corporate dissolutions, shareholder disputes, breach of contract actions, partnership breakups and partition actions and has successfully represented the Justices and Judges of the State of New York in their action for a salary increase against the State of New York. He has argued numerous cases before the various departments of the Appellate Division as well as the New York State Court of Appeals.
Steve has served as counsel to the Independence Party of Nassau County, the Village of Freeport and the County of Nassau. He has received numerous awards from the unions representing Court personnel, is a frequent guest lecturer at Hofstra University School of Law and has served as a member of many Judicial Committees and private boards of directors.
